"Il compositore è soprattutto un pensatore, come un filosofo o un poeta, che esprime attraverso la musica le proprie confinzioni e le proprie idee. E? un lavoro impegnativo spesso travisato soprattutto per colpa di una sottocultura mediatica che vede ancora Chopin con il candelabro a scrivere Notturni e Puccini che spara alle anatre inventando il "Nessun dorma". Pensare ancora alla musica come qualcosa di magico instillato nel creatore per intervento esterno, divino o diabolico che sia, finisce coll'essere deviante rispetto ad un lavoro di ricerca costante, faticoso impegnativo.(...) La ricetta per capire la musica contemporanea? Accendere il cervello a 360 gradi, impastare 1 kg di curiosità con un pizzico di preparazione. Lasciar riposare e ripetere il trattamento più volte. A parte gli scherzi: semplicemente saper ascoltare."

Terzo premio: THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER (Usa, 1928, H. Watson, M. Webber, 13’) rimusicato da Eddy Serafini ( Italia, 2008)
Si tratta di una colonna sonora composta e arrangiata con arte e gusto che scorre sempre piacevole. Diversi sono i momenti compositivi intensi e di classe pura che, pur producendo un certo distacco dalle immagini, offrono un punto di vista originale e contemporaneo.

The real surprise of the evening was "The Celebration of Aion" of Eddy Serafini, young composer Trentino already strong of important successes (...) a start emozionanate, with the sound of the piano magically one, via via dissolved in dialogue with the strings in the "cathedral of ice"; captivating "Wings of Chaos" with their also and apparently disordered overlapping of fast stubborn; "Lyrique", the movement dedicated to Eros, was integrated improntatoad a great cantabilita, made with warm sound and full as the violin and cello, rental dialogue between their; finally "Dance of the earth", in which rhythms borrowed from the world of rock music were transferred in a composition of great complexity and beauty.
